When is wdw value season

Both will fall during the 50th Anniversary Celebration though, so you won't miss out on that! Ultimately, the final decision comes down to your preferences, but we hope this helps you weigh the two options!

My partner and i are looking into going from the 5th to the 13th of November. We are planning on going to the parks from the 6th to the 9th. How busy would you think the parks would be.

I understand that the weekend would be a bit busy but what about that Monday and Tuesday? Thank you so much for your help! As you mentioned, weekends will be busier than weekdays, but overall, it looks like a great time to visit mostly 4s and 5s! You can see a day-by-day prediction on our Crowd Calendar. We are planning a trip to Disney World with a group of ten at the beginning of January I recently read that Disney has unofficially set dates for the Disney Run during the time we have reservations.

Instead of just one weekend, like in the past, the run is scheduled for a whole week. All of us want to enjoy time at the parks and at the resort. Do you think we should reschedule for the end of January when there will be fewer crowds?

Or isn't there a big difference from the beginning of January during the Disney Run and the end of January? Thank you for your thoughts on this. The Disney Marathon weekend does bring some elevated crowds than perhaps other weekends in January, but you would likely see the impact more with hotel reservations, dining reservations and transportation particularly in the mornings , rather than inside the parks.

Some are there solely to run, while others do stick around. The races themselves start very early in the morning, so most of the running events do not have a large impact during park hours, except for Epcot where the full marathon ends and transportation in the mornings if you want to rope drop.

If you want to avoid altogether, we do recommend the last weekend in January. But since it hasn't been officially announced yet, we'd suggest waiting to make any changes until it's confirmed. Thanks so much for the information.

We have booked our first Disney trip for February since our daughter is out of school that week. I noticed that this is a busy time and just wondering if April would be more or less crowded. Most of April will be busy due to the spring break season, especially since Easter will fall on April 17 and generally the week following Easter is a popular break time. So, depending on when in April you'd visit, you could hit a less crowded week during the spring break season most likely, the first week of April , but we'd avoid the week immediately before and after Easter.

We are booking for November 7th thru the 11th I have never seen Disney with Holiday Decorations. Is this a good time to go. As a side note we usually Go the week of Mothers day are the crowds similar? Early November is generally a good time to go! There may be some crowds around Veterans Day at the end of your trip.

It's right about the same as Mother's Day — you can use our Crowd Calendar to compare expected crowd levels. I'm wife and i are looking to go for October since we both have not been able to take any vacation since the pandemic due to working in hospitals. We are looking to avoid October 1st since the celebration of the 50th starts on that day. What would your opinion on going to Disney the week of the 3rd?

Article is a great read and thank you for your response. While Oct. There is a lot hoppening , due to 50th Anniversary Celebration festivities being spread out in all four theme parks. Also, the dates for Boo Bash, which is hoppening simultaneously, during that week have sold out, giving some indication of potential crowds.

You may want to consider the third week in October, if possible, to avoid the initial week of the 50th Anniversary Celebration and the Columbus Day holiday weekend. Early November should also be a good time, if you're able to wait until then. Good Evening!!! Can you please inform me when we would like to visit Disney Magic world. Is it open for Indians if not when it will be opened, so that the US Tour can be arranged and finalised accordingly from Pune.

With Best Regards, Narendra Umbrajkar. Currently, there are still travel restrictions in effect for international visitors from certain countries, including India. Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline for when the restrictions will be lifted. Love all of your information!! How much affect does Mardi Gras have on Disney crowds?

I've read some very differing opinions on this - some say little affect, others say southern schools are out and crowds increase dramatically. Is there anything going on during the first week that would make it more crowded? And why are February 7 and 8 high in crowd prediction?

Thank you so much! From our experience, Mardi Gras typically doesn't have a huge effect on crowds, so any of those options would be great. We've been there during the last weekend of January and crowds were low. While you would avoid Presidents Day weekend, sometimes the weekends directly before and after see some crowds as well, but they aren't usually as busy. We have a reservation from Feb , and Will it be crowded in your opinion and I wonder how many WDW days of tickets we should get-given that we may skip a day or two, but maybe not.

First day we can go to a WDW park is the 7th. Since Presidents Day falls on Feb. This should give you flexibility to space out your trip if you wish to skip a day or two. Ultimately, the decision is all up to you, but we think having at least a day off over the weekend would give you time to recharge in the middle of your vacation.

Those April dates would be in the middle of the spring break season. Since Easter is much later in April it'll fall on April 17 , that typically means a longer, but less busy spring break season due to crowds being spread over a longer period of time. Also, keep in mind that some schools will coordinate their spring breaks with the week following Easter, so you may still run into those crowds. In October, it can get more crowded on weekends especially as it gets closer to Halloween but most weekdays have average crowds.

Take a peek at our Crowd Calendar to compare expected crowd levels Oct. Will this clash with Spring break. Easter will fall on April 17 next year, so you will likely catch the end of the spring break season.

Since Easter is much later in April, that typically means a longer, but less busy spring break season due to crowds being spread over a longer period of time. Also, keep in mind that some schools will coordinate their spring breaks with the week following Easter, so you may run into those crowds. We would agree that the weather is better in April though. Looking at January February 4 or February March 4.

Any suggestions on which is better crowd wise. We went first week of March and crowds were great but I see Mardi Gras is first week of March Crowd-wise, we'd suggest Jan.

Mardi Gras at Universal Disney World typically doesn't celebrate it other than special treats that may pop up usually doesn't start until the first or second week of February, so you'll likely miss those crowds. The dates were just released for the Halloween Party.

Looks like mostly Tuesdays and Fridays. We are thinking to avoid the Magic Kingdom on those days, assuming it will be more crowded, but would like your opinion. This is slightly different from previous years with Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, during which all event guests could enter as early as 4 p. There still may be guests who stay during both day and night at Magic Kingdom, so it may be safe to avoid Tuesdays and Fridays.

We are planning a trip for April, and hoping to stay in a deluxe villa but it looks like nothing is available on Disney World's resort website at this time.

Could all deluxe villas really already be booked or will more bookings open up in the coming months?? If you're not a DVC member, that is likely why you are not seeing any availability, as those limited number of rooms may be booked. It wouldn't hurt to keep checking! There isn't a specific reason, but crowds start to pick up on the weekends during May, particularly in the second half of the month. Generally, weekends are more popular than weekdays! Most colleges and universities in Florida start summer breaks by the first weekend in May, so grad visits may be a small factor as well.

We're at the beginning stages of planning a Disney World trip sometime in the first two weeks of May Most of our trip will be made up of weekdays, but there will be one weekend in there. Out of curiosity, do you happen to know why weekends in May are considered some of the worst times to go? Is it due to local residents attending Flower and Garden?

Just wondered - sometimes specific reasons for crowd levels factor into our planning. There isn't a specific reason — it just starts picking up in general, and weekends are always more popular than weekdays, particularly in the second half of the month. Some people who visit during Halloween may stay until they see the Christmas decor, resulting in some crowds. It may also get busy around Veterans Day. However, overall crowds are just about medium average , especially weekdays.

It's right at the end of Florida's rainy season, so it may still be hot and humid during the day, but it may also start to get cooler at night.

Oh no! Slightly panicking as we can only really go 26th may- 12th June because of school exams. Will this be awful with crowds? Are you visiting currently, or in ? Either way, we maintain that the best time to visit is when you're able! Things will be busy, but they should be manageable with some planning. I'm from the UK and looking to rebook our first Disney trip the third and hopefully final time.

We have two options for dates in 24th April - 8th May or 13th October - 27th October. Any advice on which would be the better option weather and crowd wise? Both are good options! April has a slight edge over October in terms of weather and crowds. It's right before the rainy season starts while mid-October would be at the tail-end and it would fall a week after Easter, which is when the spring break season would end in But if you're a fan of Halloween, then the special events and decor in October is also something to consider.

If not, we'd suggest April! This will be our first Disney trip with friends and family. We want to go next year We have have a couple of options when we can go. We have split opinions of when we should go.

What are some pros and cons on those time frames? BTW, I love your website, great information for a first timer! Thanks so much for hopping by, and we're so glad to help, especially as a first-timer! As far as crowds go, both options will see heavier crowds, as those are popular times for families to be at Disney World during spring break or summer vacation. How late into the summer would you be able to go? If you're able to wait until the end of August, local schools will be starting the school year by mid-August, so crowds may start to lessen by the second half of the month.

Another big consideration is the weather. March generally has nicer weather than summer. While the weather is more unpredictable in March can vary with low, moderate and high temperatures , summer is right in the middle of Florida's wet season and temperatures are high all of the time.

If we were to decide solely based on the weather, we'd choose March over June, July or August. Lastly, we would suggest considering any special events. Regardless of your choice, you'll be visiting during the 50th Anniversary Celebration, so expect special surprises during whichever time you decide on. I am planning to visit the Parks between April 20 - 26, Do you thin that will be significative very complicated before April 24?

The Easter crowds usually stick around for the week following the holiday, so it's likely that you may run into higher crowds through April Since Easter falls later in , the spring break season lasts longer starting the first week of March but crowds may be more spread out. We definitely think it's one of the better times to go! Crowds are generally low except for MLK Jr. Day and Presidents' Day weekends. The weather can be more unpredictable, as we've experienced days as low as in the 40s and as high as in the 70s.

Ultimately, it depends on if a cold front comes through, which is when the temperature can really dip. Another thing to keep in mind is that because it is the slower season, park hours may be shorter and some rides typically undergo annual refurbishment during this time.

We are going to Disney on aug This is our first time going with our 11 and 9 yr old. We were only able to get those dates to work. How is the weather that time. I'm freaking out because everyone says we are crazy for going then. We have been during that time, and the key is just to be prepared!

We fully believe that any Disney trip, no matter the time of year, can be a great one - sometimes we just have to go when our schedules allow it, right? August is going to be hot and rainy it's the rainiest month of the year , so be sure to pack ponchos that are easy to slip on and off we like the ones without full sleeves in the summer. You'll want to pack extra socks in case you wade through post-rain puddles , extra masks and your swimsuits.

Afternoon rainshowers tend to happen like clockwork, so be sure to have a weather radar pulled up to check the status quickly. Our best advice is to plan your day with lots of breaks in the AC, both for heat and some shelter from the rain; if you can, plan out a lunch that is inside and know where the parks' Mask Relaxation Areas are.

We have a full list of inside ride s too. Depending on the hours and how long you'd like to be in the park, it may also be a good option to head into the parks in the morning and leave for a while around lunchtime to take a dip in the pool, take a nap or eat at the hotel to keep you out of the sun in the hottest parts of the day; then, you can head back as things start to cool off again in the evening.

Be sure to drink lots of water too - bringing your own water bottles helps as a reminder! Why is Feb. The crowd calendar has decent numbers for the back half of that week. Thats exactly when we were looking at going because of a school break :.

We expect increased crowds due to Presidents Day weekend - many schools have a break that week, too, so you'll find elevated crowds as more people head to the parks while they're out of school. Like you mentioned, we are projecting the lowest crowd level that week at a 6 for the Thursday, Friday and Sunday after Presidents Day weekend, with the remainder of that time frame at a level 7 or 8.

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take.

I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA. See author's posts. I really enjoyed your article, thank you! I am wondering how I can get best value being a senior citizen, woman, and traveling solo? I of course will be on a budget so looking forward to maybe traveling Feb, Thanks for the info Ziggy.

Leave this field empty. Marie Wednesday 25th of August Our Web Stories. In , Disney implemented more seasonal changes at the values and moderates, in effect raising prices by moving various dates from lower to higher-priced seasons. Value 2 dates in later August and early September shifted to Fall, and Fall in later September to almost the end of October was shifted to Regular.

Up until , rooms typically had one or two prices during a season. If two, there was one price for Sunday-Thursday and another for Friday and Saturday. The effect of this is to make long weekend stays more expensive, and Monday-Wednesday stays less expensive, than would otherwise be the case.

Finally, the much earlier Easter in means that many more days in March-April will be regular season, and that many less Peak or Easter seasons, than in The difference is about two weeks more worth of Regular season prices, mostly in April. The basic pattern among value resort standard rooms of Art of Animation Little Mermaid rooms being most expensive and the All-Stars being least expensive continues in Pop Century rooms see the highest increases for , bringing them a bit closer to the Little Mermaid rooms, but prices in the other value resorts go up quite a bit as well.

These differences are shown for standard rooms across the prices seasons in the chart. Family Suite options at the values also continue their basic price structure. For , average year-round prices in standard rooms in the All-Star Resorts are up around 7. Moreover, more rooms seem to be priced as preferred than before, such as Jazz at Music and Touchdown at Sports, itself in effect a price increase.

Family Suites at Music are up 6. The largest standard room increases are in the Value 9. The price increases are likely related to the new queen beds and coffeemakers that are beginning to show up at Pop Century. Increases are highest in the Regular 9. Increases are pretty tightly grouped across the year, but are highest in the Fall season 7.

Finding Nemo increases are similar. The moderates saw for the same insertion of Regular season nights into early February, and the same new Sunday and Thursday pricing in some price seasons, that the values did. See the discussion above for details. In a major change, in Riverside and French Quarter became the most expensive moderates. This gap widened substantially in , and widens a bit more in Caribbean Beach largely returns to prices comparable to Coronado Springs in late Coronado Springs standard rooms show average price increases for of 5.

Preferred rooms at Coronado Springs are up 4. This is higher than the increases at either Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach, and thus widens the price differential of the Port Orleans resorts with the other two traditional moderates that we first saw in The deluxe resorts run to a different price season calendar than the values and moderates, especially from early July through mid-November.

Their price season calendar is similar to that of , with the main change being the addition of a few more days of Peak season pricing the week after the Easter season. The deluxes also see in the added complexity in day-by-day prices as the values and moderates, but not so much—only for three seasons Value, Peak, Regular , not four, and typically only for Thursday nights, not the Sundays and Thursdays of the other resort classes.

I sampled the full set of price changes in eighteen deluxe room types, and based on that saw no material changes among the overall resort price standings.
